Super Friday families!
We have had a wonderful first four weeks of the Spring Semester.
One important issue that I need to bring to everyone’s attention…Dismissal Safety! Please remember that our number one priority at the end of the day is the safety of all our children and families. While we certainly strive to be efficient and quick, nothing trumps safety.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING NOTES CAREFULLY!
- Early Childhood Dept will begin putting children in cars as early as 12:00pm, for those parents who only have EC students. IF YOU HAVE BOTH EC AND OC, do NOT get in line until 12:20. You will be sent to the back of the line, because your children will not be ready for pickup before 12:20.
- Older Childhood Dept will begin putting children in cars at approximately 12:20. 3rd period dismisses at 12:15, but it takes a few minutes for most of our students to get downstairs into the atrium.
- If you aren’t in line by 12:30, you are late. Please send a text to Dawn at 225-324-7758 and let her know.
- If you need to pick your child up early, you must plan to do so BEFORE 12:00 noon, just send me a text and let me know. After that time, your child will have to be picked up by end of the day procedure.
- Parents can NOT walk in for pickup at Entrance D. Entrance D is for car pickup only. If you want to walk up, you must do so at Entrance K on the gym side of the building.
- STAFF AND MOM’s REST STOP, please exit the building at Entrance K, NOT Entrance D. We do not want families crossing the car line, it isn’t safe!
- If the car in front of you is taking a bit longer to load than your children, please just wait. DO NOT PASS AROUND CARS TO THE RIGHT WHILE THEY ARE LOADING. We have children walking around the side of vehicles to get in and it isn’t safe for cars to pass on the right. An extra 30 seconds or so won’t kill you!
- Finally, please wait for your child to get completely in the car and close the door before you take off! No one needs to be in that big of a hurry!
I understand that pickup line isn’t anybody’s favorite part of the day, and we are all ready to get out and get on with the weekend, but please bring your patience every single Friday so that we can all get home safely.
In His Grace,
Dawn Pruyn
